Burney Glen New Construction

This was a Spec home we built in 2007.  It is a 2800 sq ft home with 4 bedrooms, 3 ½ baths, a bonus room and an office.  Todd was on site every day and involved with major phases of the construction, to help insure that the schedule and budget targets were hit.  The project was completed on time and actually came in under budget.  He was one of two people that built and poured the footings and foundations.  He was also part of a four man crew that framed the house throughout part of the fall and winter.  Todd was also there every day helping to put shingles down, until the roof was complete. He also installed a good portion of the tile throughout the house.

Meadow Creek Cabin

We were hired to build this beautiful cabin with a daylight basement and large wrap around deck in the summer of  2012.  The job entailed taking the cabin to a finished shell: excavation, foundation, plumbing and sewer rough in, framing, electrical rough in, siding, roofing, windows, doors, and paint.  This is definitely one of Rutherford Constructions’ marquee projects to date.

North Point Kitchen Remodel 2

After remodeling the kitchen directly across the street from this residence, we were commissioned to completely gut and renovate this kitchen, dining room and living room.  We removed and replaced all cabinets, counter tops and backsplashes, as well as flooring and lighting.  It was not all cosmetic on this one, we did remove some non-load bearing framing to open up the spaces and make them flow better.

Detached Garage w/ Living Quarters

This is a detached garage with living quarters above it.  The homeowner was on a tight budget and only wanted us to build the shell and let her put the finishes and paint on it.  Space was tight, but everything went off without any major setbacks.  The garage is heated with geothermal piping run throughout the walls and concrete slab.

Harris Ranch 2nd Story Addition

These homeowners needed more space for their growing family, so we decided to add a living room, one bedroom, one bathroom, and an office above their garage.  It is nearly 800 square feet of extra space.  This was a difficult project in that we needed to keep a functioning household as we were doing construction.  To add another degree of difficulty the garage is where the guts of the house were located, the electrical panel, furnace and water heater were in the garage and had to stay operating every day.

Covered Patio/Outdoor Living Area

These homeowners wanted to add some outdoor covered living space, a place to entertain outside that was out of the elements.  We came up with this design and tried to make it look like part of the original structure.

Cabin Basement Remodel

We are converting this unfinished basement with 1 car garage into a finished basement with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, bar area and fantastic gaming area.  The old, gray, cold concrete floors were covered with 800+ square feet of natural slate tile.  Underneath the tile is a heating system that covers every square inch and keeps the cold mountain air at bay.  The gaming area includes a full sized shuffle board table, a dart board, and is soon to feature a pool table.  The focus of the custom bar area will be the large slab of wood that is used as a countertop.  The  basement is wired for surround sound and a great entertainment system.

North Pointe Kitchen Remodel 1

We completely gutted this kitchen.  Everything was replaced, flooring, cabinets, countertops, backsplash, appliances and fixtures too.  The cabinets are knotty alder with a dark stain, solid slab granite countertops, tumbled travertine backsplash, porcelain tile floor.

Master Bathroom Addition

We took a large master bedroom and added a full bathroom and walk in closet to the existing space.  This made a beautiful master suite that looks as if it were a part of the original plan.  The homeowners selected a black and white tile design that fits the era of the home perfectly!  We also reused the original hardwood flooring in the walk in closet. While the tile and color scheme may reflect a style from the mid 1900’s, the amenities in this bathroom bring it into the 21st century.  We installed an in floor heating system under the tile to keep their feet and space comfy and cozy.  We also installed a ceiling mount rain showerhead in the large shower area.
